Aura Portrait
Here is a mixed media portrait in pencil and soft pastels. I have for a number of years been able to see peoples auras as well as tree auras. Here I have created a soft white haze and then colour pastels which captures the illusive quality of the very soft light.
Oil Painting portrait for Dorian Grey Immersive play for Midnight Circle Productions
This was so much fun to do a portrait of the actor who was playing Dorian Grey. The oil painting was created firstly with a study charcoal sketch, followed with a freehand underpainting and the the colour applied in-between layers of glaze. I went to seee the performance and really enjoyed the play!
Studio Makeover
During the later half of this year I've took a different paintbrush to hand and painted the studio in blue and sanded the wooden floor. I painted the studio in Edward Bulmer plant based paints which are chemical free. I'm very sensitive to strong paint and fall sick before I can finish the job, but happy to say this was the first time I didn't have a reaction, here is a photo I took before I stated on the floor. It's a lighter colour and brings light into the room which is lovely.
